Alive and Well

So apparently my blog sucks. Or so some people have told me. Apparently when you dont write on your blog, it sucks. So I am writing to let everyone know that I am alive and well. Married life is great! Ever since I got married, the last thing on my mind was writing on my blog. And also, reflecting on my life now and my life in college, I took for granted how much free time I had to do whatever I wanted when I was in college (like writing on my blog, playing halo, taking naps, getting exercise, hanging out, playing frisbee golf, etc.)

Married life is wonderful. It is the best feeling in the world to wake up every morning next to your best friend, to always get to come home to your best friend, to go to sleep next to your best friend, and share life with someone. God is a genius. When he realized that it was not good for man to be alone, he created this beautiful creation for him to spend his life with. And the two become one. In my opinion, God made the perfect creation when he made woman. Somehow, I got the best one. (I dont know how that happened, but this beast is blessed) As I share my life with Kasey, it is amazes me every day how much more complete and happy I am when she is with me. She is perfect. I love just being with her.

We have found a church home in Fort Worth that we are still trying to get involved with. We are in a small group of young marrieds that we enjoy. We are about to start getting involved more with the youth. I miss New Life a whole lot. The church we are in now is too big and it is harder to get to know people. That was the thing I loved about New Life. You could really get to know and spend time with people at your church. I miss spending time with my junior high kids and seeing them grow up. I miss the communion around the table where you get to talk to your brothers and sisters and fellowship. I miss Grant's and the other children's prayer requests at church (along with everyone else's prayer requests) At New Life I felt like I was a part of other people's lives, knew what was going on in their lives and could help people. I miss Damon's sermons and Matt's song leading. So being in a big church is a big change that we are still trying to get used to.

I am working in Fort Worth and Kasey just started an internship for school that she is enjoying so far. She will graduate in May and only has to drive to Abilene every other Tuesday this semester. (Yay!!) We live in a one bedroom apartment right now which is just the perfect size for us. It would be nice to have another room so people could stay with us, but we will get there eventually.

Well, that is at least somewhat of an update on my life. Hopefully, at least for today, this blog is not in the "suck" category.
